Who: Karkat, Terezi, Gamzee, others
Where: 1338 Benny Road
When: December 22
What: Gamzee and Terezi decide to have a talk with a certain irritable troll
Warnings: character injury, blood
[After hanging up on Terezi and his earlier confrontation with Gamzee, Karkat will keep to himself. He'll remain inside the house, but he'll keep to his respiteblock, avoiding the chance of running into Gamzee again.
He'll also keep his sickle on his person and watch out his window for comings and goings, worried about Gamzee's potential to harm the other trolls in town.]

[For a moment Terezi gets excited, thinking Gamzee's exclamation means they've landed a highblood. She loosens her grip on Karkat enough to lean around and get a look at the cut on his throat, holding her knife up to the light, too--
She recoils in disgust as well, lips parting in shock. The blood rolling down Karkat's neck in small rivulets is a bright, shocking red. An unnatural color. Completely off the hemospectrum.]
What the fuck are you?
[Expression twisting in revulsion, she gives Karkat a hard shove towards the wall.]

Honk, honk. Looks like we got a filthy nasty starmonkey here what all thinks he can be passing his disgusting self off as a troll. And to think he all done thought he had the right to front smack at us. Punchline-blooded motherfucker, you don't even got the motherfuckin' right to motherfuckin' exist.
no subject
But he can't do that to them, so after his body hits the wall, he pulls himself to his feet and tries to bolt for the door, struggling with all his strength against anyone who tries to hold him. He already knows he has no right to exist; if he didn't know, none of this would be happening. ]

[As the shock wears off, cold, hard fascination replaces it. Were it possible, she seems to hold her chin a little bit higher, looking upon Karkat as if he is below her. And, to hear? He is. He's nothing. He doesn't even have a right to be breathing the same air as them.]
It's never too late, though! [With a snarl, she leaps for Karkat, grabbing around his middle and jerking her chin up.] Gamzee! [She knows Gamzee will join her right away- there's certainly no escape for Karkat.]
no subject
Ain't nowhere to motherfuckin' run to, dogg! And a motherfucking done mistake of nature shouldn't be all what standing upright in front of his betters. [He twirls his club before aiming a blow at Karkat's knee.] So why don't you show us some motherfucking respect before we do the mirthiful thing and cull you proper.
no subject
Fuck you both.
no subject
Oooh, you fucking mutant, we could've made it a quick execution, you know? But running your mouth like that isn't going to make it any easier~.
[She lets go of him, allowing him to drop into that smashed knee.]
no subject
Better. But I think we gotta do something about that smart motherfuckin' mouth of yours. [He hums thoughtfully.] Tell you motherfuckin' what - if you all up and get your penance on right now, we won't cut that dirty mastication muscle out and make you choke on it.
no subject
I don't care what you do. If you're going to fucking kill me, fine, I'm not saying please and thank you about it.
[He can't pretend having his tongue cut out doesn't sound awful, but his focus is elsewhere. With Gamzee this close, he has a stupid idea that will only get him killed more horribly, but he doesn't really care about that right now. He reaches a hand up, not quite aware that it's the one dripping with blood until he can see it, and paps Gamzee's face.]
Shhhh.
no subject
And then Karkat tries to pap Gamzee, and she bursts out laughing. The vision is ludicrous. Gamzee already has a moirail, after all.]
Oh, god! The mutant would dare lay his hands on a highblood! Is it mercy you're looking for?
[With a cheerful trill, she lifts her leg back to kick Karkat in the side as hard as she can. But she'll let Gamzee punish him for this one.]]
no subject
Nice try, brother, nice motherfucking try, but that quadrant is already done taken, and a motherfucking scumgrub like you ain't worth nothing in comparison. [He stomps on the hand Karkat had used to pap him with and grinds his foot down before holding out his own hand.]
Terezi, darling girl, can a brother be all borrowing that blade of yours for a second? I think I gotta teach our insotent motherfucker here a motherfucking lesson by cutting off that nasty hand first.
no subject
His hand hurts and he'll feel that more lately, but he's out of options now so he just closes his eyes and waits to be killed.]
no subject
But no. Not this time. It was her job to make sure that their species lived to see another sweep, and come hell or high water she was going to make sure it happened if she had to pap the hell out of every highblood from here to Skaia.
The logical place to check was Gamzee's hive, so following Terezi's cessation of their conversation Kanaya had made her way there with the utmost of haste, throwing open the door - and hearing the sounds of struggle from upstairs. Fuck, they really didn't waste any time, did they?
She dashed to the second floor of the residence, following the sounds, and barged into the respiteblock in question with nary a trace of her usual elegance. There they were, of course, tormenting one of those poor hapless idiot trolls who had the misfortune of ending up in a town with this devious and deranged duo.*
Terezi-- *No, forget it. The Witch was too stubborn and high-minded to listen to her sensible reason. So she focused on the indigo-blood, one hand on her hip and the other coming to wag in his face.* Gamzee.
What have I said about culling the other trolls?!
no subject
Terezi steps forward, but Gamzee won't need her support now. It'll be a beautiful display to watch, this wash of bright awful red.
...Or it would be, were one Kanaya Maryam not interrupting. Terezi rounds on her with a snarl.]
Stay out of it! Look at this mutantblood!
no subject
He still doesn't let go of the knife, though.]
Ain't a troll I'm all about to get my subjugglation on, palesis. Just a motherfucking unholy freak what done thought he could be worming his ugly self into my pale quadrant.
no subject
[His eyes open when he hears her come in, and he immediately turns to her for help. But then he remembers that she doesn't know him, and he shouldn't know her, and she may still help him, but that won't change the fact that none of them think of him as more than a stranger at best.
And then it registers that Gamzee just called her 'palesis' and she isn't here to save him, she's here to be conciliatory. He should be happy not to die but he feels jealous instead. Terezi and Gamzee can have their relationship; he may not like it, but he can also tell it's obviously a mess and mostly black. He's not going to bother to care about that. But Kanaya is one of the most naturally conciliatory trolls he's ever known; it's obvious that this can work, and it makes him feel stupid and useless for trying.]
no subject
But then Terezi turns on her with that arrogant snarl of hers, that ferocious that's always told Kanaya 'I'm making your moirail do something you're going to have to clean up,' and how dare she tell the jadeblood to stay out of her pale business? Kanaya is about to retort angrily when the impact of Terezi's words hits her - mutantblood - and she looks past Gamzee at the troll in question, and sees...
...red. Unnatural, bright, HUMAN red. On a troll.
And her expression visibly changes at that abberation, a look of shock (and perhaps horror) flitting over delicate features. How is this possible? Is he a troll, or one of the humans pretending?
While she might have softened slightly at Gamzee's words - he was doing it to preserve the fidelity of their pale love - they also remind her, however, of what she is supposed to be doing here. And while that blood color seems so terribly unnatural on a troll, he does still seem to be a troll, which means she'll deal with him later.
Right now, she reaches out to grab Gamzee's wrist firmly - not hard as to hurt, and she knows he could easily break free if he tried, but to bring him back from his rage. Her other hand comes up to cup his cheek affectionately, patting it soothingly. Her expression, however, is angry when it turns to Terezi.* I will not stay out of my rightful business, thank you, and we are going to have a very long discussion later.
*But when she turns to Gamzee, her voice softens, becoming gentle and calming.* Shh. It's all right, Gamzee. You needn't concern yourself with something like that.
no subject
Terezi instead crouches above the mutantblood, grabbing him by his wounded arm, getting that bright red all over her fingers, and she tries to ignore the infuriating sight of Kanaya. Of course, she knows she's just trying to hold things together. That's just what she does.]
Haaa, if you ask me, this is a pretty big fucking deal here! And you're interrupting.
no subject
But this is his moirail, and it is no secret that Gamzee, starved of affection his entire life, will do pretty much anything for one Kanaya Maryam. He sighs and finally lowers the knife, throwing his arm around Kanaya's waist in a loose hug and bumping their foreheads together fondly.]
Aight, but only because it's all being my best motherfuckin' girl who's asking. [A beat, and then he adds:] And it don't mean I can all be stopping Terezi from doing her motherfucking thing, neither.
[And in one smooth move, he tosses Terezi the blade from behind his back.]
no subject
He feels stupid for thinking he belonged with any of them, stupid for thinking he was the only one who could handle Gamzee when he's fucking fine with someone who isn't nearly the trainwreck of a person he is, stupid for caring about himself in all of this when he has no right to. So he just puts his head between his knees, and if Terezi decides to stab him in the throat after all that's just fucking fine.]
no subject
I'm sure Terezi knows that it would be best if the violence stopped here, too. *Well no, she doesn't think that Terezi knows that, but she also knows that it's not nearly as fun for the tealblood if her kismesprit isn't involved as well.* I'll clean everything up here, I promise.
no subject
Fine. Don't make me regret not killing this trash right here and now.
[A beat.] What are we supposed to do with him, Kanaya? Huh? You ever thought that one through? Not only should he not even exist, he's another troll when there are no other trolls.
no subject
A motherfucker what got that clubberation of a blood color don't count as a troll, far as I'm concerned. [He flicks Karkat a dismissive glance.] We can just treat him like another one of those bullshit rotten starmonkeys around here.

She really hates it when Terezi says things that get in the way of her pacifying the young subjugglator.* Terezi, as I have reminded you on countless prior occasions, the survival and propagation of our race is my business, and not that of a certain tealblood.
In other words, I will deal with this however I deem best.
