[After his conversation/ambiguous break up with Terezi, Karkat heads back to his own hive. He slams the door to his respite block, locks it, and doesn't come out or let anyone in until his lusus comes up to check on him and makes him move the dresser away from his door.

After that, if you want to come in and find him, he's sitting on his bed eating ice cream and watching troll Hitch on his husktop with Crabdad.]

[ Well, this is a surprise, she hasn't heard from him since she dropped off the sedatives months ago. Likely their schedules have been off. She can't help the "counselor" voice when she responds. ] When the town decides to switch us, that's when we move.

But as long as you sleep in your assigned building every three nights, you can avoid the house. Otherwise you'll be droned. I'm not quite sure of the equation, but I have had reports that the more often you skip that third day, the longer you're droned after.

[ Now Ilsa sounds a little worried. Being a troll, Karkat might not recognize the tone of an adult human concerned about the safety of a youngster. But she's aware that he sees himself as responsible, most of the time, and tries to tone it down. ] Do you need sanctuary for some of the nights you aren't home?
