Who: Karkat, Terezi, Gamzee, others
Where: 1338 Benny Road
When: December 22
What: Gamzee and Terezi decide to have a talk with a certain irritable troll
Warnings: character injury, blood
[After hanging up on Terezi and his earlier confrontation with Gamzee, Karkat will keep to himself. He'll remain inside the house, but he'll keep to his respiteblock, avoiding the chance of running into Gamzee again.
He'll also keep his sickle on his person and watch out his window for comings and goings, worried about Gamzee's potential to harm the other trolls in town.]

But then Terezi turns on her with that arrogant snarl of hers, that ferocious that's always told Kanaya 'I'm making your moirail do something you're going to have to clean up,' and how dare she tell the jadeblood to stay out of her pale business? Kanaya is about to retort angrily when the impact of Terezi's words hits her - mutantblood - and she looks past Gamzee at the troll in question, and sees...
...red. Unnatural, bright, HUMAN red. On a troll.
And her expression visibly changes at that abberation, a look of shock (and perhaps horror) flitting over delicate features. How is this possible? Is he a troll, or one of the humans pretending?
While she might have softened slightly at Gamzee's words - he was doing it to preserve the fidelity of their pale love - they also remind her, however, of what she is supposed to be doing here. And while that blood color seems so terribly unnatural on a troll, he does still seem to be a troll, which means she'll deal with him later.
Right now, she reaches out to grab Gamzee's wrist firmly - not hard as to hurt, and she knows he could easily break free if he tried, but to bring him back from his rage. Her other hand comes up to cup his cheek affectionately, patting it soothingly. Her expression, however, is angry when it turns to Terezi.* I will not stay out of my rightful business, thank you, and we are going to have a very long discussion later.
*But when she turns to Gamzee, her voice softens, becoming gentle and calming.* Shh. It's all right, Gamzee. You needn't concern yourself with something like that.

Terezi instead crouches above the mutantblood, grabbing him by his wounded arm, getting that bright red all over her fingers, and she tries to ignore the infuriating sight of Kanaya. Of course, she knows she's just trying to hold things together. That's just what she does.]
Haaa, if you ask me, this is a pretty big fucking deal here! And you're interrupting.

But this is his moirail, and it is no secret that Gamzee, starved of affection his entire life, will do pretty much anything for one Kanaya Maryam. He sighs and finally lowers the knife, throwing his arm around Kanaya's waist in a loose hug and bumping their foreheads together fondly.]
Aight, but only because it's all being my best motherfuckin' girl who's asking. [A beat, and then he adds:] And it don't mean I can all be stopping Terezi from doing her motherfucking thing, neither.
[And in one smooth move, he tosses Terezi the blade from behind his back.]

He feels stupid for thinking he belonged with any of them, stupid for thinking he was the only one who could handle Gamzee when he's fucking fine with someone who isn't nearly the trainwreck of a person he is, stupid for caring about himself in all of this when he has no right to. So he just puts his head between his knees, and if Terezi decides to stab him in the throat after all that's just fucking fine.]

I'm sure Terezi knows that it would be best if the violence stopped here, too. *Well no, she doesn't think that Terezi knows that, but she also knows that it's not nearly as fun for the tealblood if her kismesprit isn't involved as well.* I'll clean everything up here, I promise.
no subject
Fine. Don't make me regret not killing this trash right here and now.
[A beat.] What are we supposed to do with him, Kanaya? Huh? You ever thought that one through? Not only should he not even exist, he's another troll when there are no other trolls.

A motherfucker what got that clubberation of a blood color don't count as a troll, far as I'm concerned. [He flicks Karkat a dismissive glance.] We can just treat him like another one of those bullshit rotten starmonkeys around here.

She really hates it when Terezi says things that get in the way of her pacifying the young subjugglator.* Terezi, as I have reminded you on countless prior occasions, the survival and propagation of our race is my business, and not that of a certain tealblood.
In other words, I will deal with this however I deem best.

I'm finished here. I'll leave Gamz with you 'cause you're so determined to ruin our fun.
[She leans in to steal a kiss against Gamzee's cheek before cutting another glare at the mutantblood; after that she can't bear to be here any longer, faced with not being able to kill this disgusting freak, so she heads out the door in a hurry.]

[With Terezi gone and Kanaya's calming influence here, the dangerous gleam in his eyes has faded slightly, although it's obvious he's certainly by no means tamed. Still, his body's no longer poised on the brink of attack and the rage and bloodlust has dissipated into a cool apathy.]
Do whatever the motherfuck you want with this trash, palesis. Just don't drink from him - that nasty shit'll make you sick.

Don't look at him anymore. Ignore him, all right?

Brother. You got real motherfuckin' lucky this time. Had the light of the messiahs all done shine down and show you some mercy.
Don't make me change my mind.
[And with that, he sweeps out of the room - even with Kanaya there, he's not sure how long he can control himself with that disgusting mutant blood out in the open.]

Part of him still hopes she'll be kind to him, but based on the way she looked at him earlier, he expects any kindness from her would just reek of pity, and he doesn't want that either.]
no subject
Well, not all the tension. She turns to the other occupant in the room and tries not to frown at the sight of that unnatural blood on a troll. It isn't like she hasn't seen that color before - especially not after coming here - but to see it on one of her kind is... unsettling. And yet Kanaya can't shake the vague notion that for whatever reason she shouldn't find it as bothersome as it is, but she does and it is.
She's quiet for a moment before she speaks.* Do you require medical attention?

[He probably does; he's bleeding fairly badly from cuts he knows are deep enough to need to be cleaned and stitched up, and the way his leg is throbbing he knows that as soon as he stands up it's going to be bad, but he doesn't want her help right now. He just wants to be left alone.]
