[Well, Karkat intended to go to the Post Office as soon as the zombie threat was finished. But early the next morning, he was forced to go to school instead, so it's not until afterward that he's able to make it.

Finally, he manages to make it back to his hive with an unwieldy recuperacoon, only to be greeted by Jade's drone, even though she was fine just earlier that day. Between being stuck as a human again and finding out about that, he's in a bad mood, so he'll just be sitting on the couch channel flipping next to the recuperacoon and judging everything on TV.]

Guess what? I'm human again. Karkat, really? You're human? Wow, I didn't recognize you at all! How'd that happen? When are you going back to normal? What do you look like now? Wait, we've never met, but you're were a species other than human in the first place?

There, that's all out of the way. We can now returned to your regularly scheduled not giving a shit about this. Anyone who does decide to bother me about this subject will be ignored in the iciest fashion possible.

In much more important but equally beyond our ability to do anything about news, Harley is apparently panscrubbed. No, I don't know why or how long she'll be gone for.

((OOC: Karkat is human again, and will be until I say otherwise even if I use his troll icons. He looks pretty much the same only not grey with horns and with browner hair and brown eyes. Not red like in the icons, yeah.))

I did that last weekend. [she is probably not joking, but she seems pretty thrilled that they have a real date arranged. she is the one going on a date. it is her. also him.]

Not really. It seems that in a male and female pairing, the man does everything, which is sort of weird. But there are other things about it that I like.

I'll just come by your hive in the evening. Humans usually dress differently but that's stupid and we don't have to do that.

Okay, like on the bowling night. They made me wear a jacket and a neck strangulation device and they made Harley wear a dress and shoes with points on the heels. I think it's because masochism is an important part of human mating.

[He suddenly stops, thinking about the stupid bowling night that was the cause of so many problems.]

Hehehe, oh! Yeah, I had a dress on too. [the food arrives, and Terezi begins stuffing her face. she goes through an interesting process with the eating; she sniffs at it first, licks it, then maybe switches to something else or just eats it. the whole thing is pretty gross.

she looks up, fries stuff in her mouth.]

[she hasn't heard a thing about what happened with Karkat and Jade. Jade never told her. she's somewhat concerned that he's going to bring up her kiss with Gamzee again.]

Wow. Okay. I'm going to sound like such a hypocrite on this one, but at least hear me out. I just don't want it to be one of those things that comes up later and it seems like there was a big secret when there wasn't.

But anyway, during the bowling thing, Jade kind of got a little drunk on human intoxificants because apparently everyone was making terrible choices that night, and after she got drunk, she tried to kiss me.

I didn't let her. That's exactly the point! She kissed me and I pushed her off right away and said I didn't want to kiss her.

I know I'm not completely blameless and yeah, it wasn't fair of me to be so angry and never mention that, but don't being kissed by someone and actually kissing someone back seem like two different things to you?

What I'm having trouble grasping is the fact that I spent two weeks beating myself up about it thinking I was the worst bulge-knocking excuse for a m- [she hesitates] -for a person, and it was all my fault, and you didn't even tell me that much! I guess I just thought...even if I was really out of my sponge, I didn't think I'd do that to you. Jade doesn't owe anyone not going around kissing whoever she wants. But I owe you that. I thought I owed you that and I thought you owed that to me.

I guess that's the thing. [she gnaws at her lower lip.] I wasn't sure if I did owe it to you. You've never told me anything like that before. I never really could get what was going through your head half the time. Sometimes you're really transparent, then the rest of the time trying to read you is as dense as the concrete your dumb grey font smells like.

[For a long time he had thought she didn't care about whether he felt like she wouldn't get involved with someone else. But it hadn't occurred to him to think she might not know if it was okay with him, even if he knows they never talked about it.]
