[Action; 1338 Benny Road]
[After his conversation/ambiguous break up with Terezi, Karkat heads back to his own hive. He slams the door to his respite block, locks it, and doesn't come out or let anyone in until his lusus comes up to check on him and makes him move the dresser away from his door.
After that, if you want to come in and find him, he's sitting on his bed eating ice cream and watching troll Hitch on his husktop with Crabdad.]
[Phone]
What do you do if you need to switch hives? Is there a form to fill out or something?

She knocks gently but doesn't really wait for permission to enter, opens the door enough to poke her head in and look over at him. ]
You don't want to live here anymore?

Thanks, Tavros. If your insane human lusus won't shoot me, that might not be a terrible idea. But I would still run the risk of meeting people who I know and no longer want to talk to ever again, so I'm not sure.

damn it.
she considers dialling the phone and asking for Jade, but what if Karkat picks up instead? and she can't ask Gamzee to do it, he'll just forget.
in the end she decides that the best way to do this is to- naturally- sneak in through Jade's bedroom window and wait for the girl there.
this is a terrible idea, but it doesn't stop her from doing it, like many other terrible ideas Terezi tends to have scattered among her genius.
but being blind and addicted to colors doesn't make climbing very easy. the side of the house smells absolutely delicious and she's losing concentration as she tries to scramble up to Jade's bedroom window. it takes her a good fifteen minutes to get there, and when she does, she knocks on the glass. if Jade doesn't answer, she'll just... throw a rock idk.]

she hops up from her chair and opens the window quickly, trying not to knock terezi over in the process. ]
Terezi, what are you doing?

But as long as you sleep in your assigned building every three nights, you can avoid the house. Otherwise you'll be droned. I'm not quite sure of the equation, but I have had reports that the more often you skip that third day, the longer you're droned after.
[ Now Ilsa sounds a little worried. Being a troll, Karkat might not recognize the tone of an adult human concerned about the safety of a youngster. But she's aware that he sees himself as responsible, most of the time, and tries to tone it down. ] Do you need sanctuary for some of the nights you aren't home?
no subject
Normally it would irritate him, but he really does feel like shit.]
I'm still trying to work it out.
This isn't anything really important. I just wanted to know if I could switch. I guess not.

He doesn't notice Gamzee come in at first because he's too busy watching Hitch getting his cardio pump ripped out of his chest by his first flush crush and relating so hard. But Crabdad notices and sort of hisses threateningly, so Karkat will look up from his movie.]
I'm glad fucking doors mean nothing to anyone here. I mean, why would having my door shut mean anything other than please invite yourself in, I'm looking forward to company right now?

If you find out anything, could you let me know? I know someone who needs to be moved to a different house, but I don't think I can just take them from where they are now.

Did something happen, Karkat? Are the drones in your house acting strange? [[she doesn't even know of karkat's house has drones, but it's seriously the only reason she can think of. she lives a simple life.]]
